I will teach students skills for good vocal technique to strengthen their singing in a positive and enthusiastic environment. My goal is to empower each student to sing with more confidence and joy with input based on their interests and long-term goals. I will tailor the curriculum to match each student's specific learning needs. My pedagogy is focused on creating a positive learning environment for fundamental vocal skill building tailored to each student’s unique goals.

Students agree to arrive at each lesson punctually, prepared with a physical copy of their repertoire. To make good progress, weekly practice is recommended. Homework assignments will be given each lesson,but feel free to ask for clarification if needed so students and parents are aligned with lesson goals. 

Parents: If something is happening at home or school that is affecting your child please let me know. The more information I have, the more I can be sensitive to the needs of your child.

Tuition will be charged on the 1st of each month to the method on file with Fons. All payments are non-refundable. The studio is open for 44 weeks each calendar year. The weeks where lessons are not held (due to holidays, personal performance opportunities, or illness) will be communicated in advance. Studio closure weeks will not receive a make-up lesson credit.

*Please note that tuition reserves the weekly time slot, but may not directly correlate with lessons received if the student does not attend the scheduled lesson times.

Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will not be eligible for a make-up lesson credit. Lessons canceled with at least 24 hours' notice will be provided a make-up lesson credit for that month which guarantees the student individualized time to practice one on one in the monthly online virtual studio class. Studio class dates will be announced at the beginning of each month. Students who did not receive a makeup lesson credit are welcome to observe the studio class. Teacher cancellations outside of the guaranteed 44 annual lessons will be rescheduled within 30 days.

Students are expected to bring a physical copy of their repertoire to each lesson. A repertoire guide with song suggestions will be emailed after enrollment. Students are strongly encouraged to identify and prepare music of their choice. I am available for ideas and questions to help guide students towards suitable options based on their goals.

To end enrollment for the coming month, notice must be received via email by the 15th of the month prior. In the case that notice is not received by that deadline, the full tuition amount will be run automatically on the first of the month, and students have the option to attend all paid lessons that month. Lessons will then be canceled for the following month. Tuition payments are non-refundable. Please note that a student’s spot will not be guaranteed for the fall term if they were not enrolled in lessons during the summer term.

From time to time I use photos and short videos of my students around the studio, on the studio website, or in social media posts. These videos and posts are encouraging to other students and helpful to other teachers. If you do not want your child's image(s) to be used, please let me know. The students are identified only by first name.
